The splendor and elegance of Art Deco design are beautifully illustrated by this fine French card table and chairs set. Crafted of luxurious rosewood, the table features canted edges, an inlaid leather top and a banded apron atop a squared column pedestal base. The solid splats and lushly upholstered seats of the four matching chairs make this a perfect set. Each piece also sports a chic, glossy finish.

Striking and progressive, Art Deco was a popular international design movement from 1925 until 1939. Its popularity peaked in Europe during the Roaring Twenties and continued strongly in the United States through the 1930s. Although many design movements have political or philosophical roots or intentions, Art Deco was purely decorative. Just as it was then, this style is still seen as elegant, functional and modern today.
