Exemplary of the finest in Art Deco glass design, this acid-etched table lamp is handcrafted by the pioneering glassmaker Daum Nancy. The thick glass of both the upper shade is heavily ornamented with stylized, geometric forms, accented by handmade ironwork fittings. This quintessential Art Deco geometry is softened by the curving base and domed shade of the white table lamp. The etched motifs extend to the base, which similarly glows from within.

Daum Nancy glass is among the most important names in French art glass of the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Established by two brothers in Nancy, France around 1872, the Daum factory first produced more utilitarian glasswares until turning to art glass in the 1890s. Later, the duo would win a Grand Prix medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
