Bisque Figures in the Manner of Jean Gille

This splendid bisque porcelain figural group depicting a lavishly-dressed couple is crafted in the manner of Jean Gille. The lively pair are dressed for a masquerade ball complete with colorful costumes and masks. Their clothing is painted in soft pastels and is gilt trimmed from head to toe, and they seem to greet each other, their faces full of life. From the folds of their robes to the delicate patterning throughout, the level of detail in these figures is exceptional.
