This beautifully hand-painted porcelain tea set was crafted by the Bohemian porcelain maker Carl Joseph Knoll. Each piece of the 7-piece set is decorated with a charming 18th-century scene of figures in period clothing. The details of the figures and shading of each piece is especially fine, while decorative borders with hand-painted gilt work add further elegance to the charming service. Bohemian porcelain is a rarity on the market, and to find a complete set is even more exceptional.

Carl Joseph Knoll began producing porcelain in 1848 in Fischern bei Karlsbad, Bohemia. The manufactory grew over the subsequent years, with Knolls's sons overtaking the business upon his death in 1868.
