A rare electric blue Paraiba tourmaline dazzles at the center of this beautiful ring. Notable for their coveted neon blue-green hue, Paraiba tourmalines are among the rarest gemstones in the world. The American Gemological Laboratories certify this gem as Brazilian in origin with "excellent" color stability. Discovered in 1989, these gemstones can only be found in Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique. For every 10,000 diamonds mined, only one Paraiba tourmaline is found. As a result of their unique chemical makeup, these gemstones carry a signature effulgence, appearing to glow from within. Set in platinum and framed by a sea of an additional 2.31 carats of diamonds, this statement cushion-cut gem sparkles.
