Born in 1883, Alfredo Pina began his artistic career as a student at the Academia Brera before studying under the famed sculptor Auguste Rodin in Paris. He exhibited widely in the early 20th century, showing his sculptures at the alon des Artistes Français, the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants and the Tuileries. Many of the artist's portrait busts reside in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., underscoring his enduring impact on art history.
