Vivid color and precise cutting distinguish this glass humidor by celebrated English glassmakers Stevens & Williams. Floral intaglio decoration and a masterfully cut scroll motif are formed from deep emerald green glass cut to clear. The vessel is fitted with a brilliant sterling silver lid by Theodore B. Starr chased with beautiful floral bouquets and engraved with the original owner's monogram.

Stevens & Williams, established in 1847, was renowned for producing quality decorative glass, using techniques such as cameo, engraving, cutting and intaglio engraving, which was introduced in 1893. By 1919, the firm was awarded their first Royal Warrant by King George V, and they became the official suppliers of glass to the Royal Family.
