Erotic Bedouin Bronze Figurine

This Austrian cold-painted bronze figure attributed to Franz Bergmann hides a tantalizing secret. The figure at first appears to depict a sultan stroking a favored pet. But unlatch his robe and his arms open to reveal that this naughty man is engaged in another form of “petting.” Incredible detailing and intriguing subject matter make this piece a rare find.

Art Nouveau-period cold-painted bronze figures made in Austria are among the most collectible items of their kind. To find one in such excellent condition, particularly of this coveted model, is quite exceptional.
