Golconda Diamond Ring, 3.18 Carats

Spectacular color and clarity distinguish this 3.18-carat diamond, which displays all of the characteristics of the legendary Golconda diamonds. The oval brilliant-cut stone is graded by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as being a clear D-color, type IIa jewel, the most chemically pure type of diamond in existence. This means the stone contains no trace of nitrogen, the element that gives diamonds color, which is a key characteristic of all Golconda diamonds. This lack of nitrogen makes the extraordinary stone appear a full two shades whiter than the whitest diamonds. Set in platinum with diamond accents.
