This handsome 18K yellow gold pocket watch was created by Audemars Piguet of Le Brassus, Switzerland, a firm considered to be the leader in "haute horology." The watch indicates the time with elegant blued steel hands on a white enamel dial detailed with Roman numerals and an inset seconds dial. The gold case features an inscription to its original owner upon his retirement, enhancing the timepiece's history and charm.

Founded in 1875 by watchmakers Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, the firm of Audemars Piguet is considered a world leader in haute, or high, horology. Counted as one of the oldest watch manufacturers, the firm is known for its technological "firsts," including creating the world's thinnest watch, the smallest repeater movement, the first skeleton watch and the first wrist minute repeater. Today, watches by this legendary Swiss firm are among the most sought-after timepieces by connoisseurs worldwide.
