Set in a gold frame, this exceptional miniature portrait captures the visage of the Honourable Charles James Fox. Fox was a prominent British Whig statesman who is remembered as a famous champion of civil liberty. Vehemently opposed to the rule of King George III, he used his position as Secretary of State to fight for a constitutionally stronger Parliament.
