A subtle and timeless elegance distinguishes this natural Baroque pearl pendant. A wonder of Art Deco-period sophistication, this incredible necklace is composed of 2 pearls connected by a platinum and yellow gold diamond-studded star link. This exceptional piece was crafted by a German jeweler who, before immigrating to the United States in the 1920s, created stunning pieces out of all of his loose gems. This was done in order to make them easier to transport. These exquisite gems are certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to be natural Pinctada pearls, and measure 12.5 x 11.7mm and 14.98 x 11.22mm.

Art Deco jewelry is among the most coveted on the market today. Striking and progressive, the Art Deco movement lasted from 1925 until 1939, affecting a myriad of decorative arts including architecture, interior design, and industrial design, as well as visual arts such as fashion, painting, the graphic arts and film. Its popularity peaked in Europe during the Roaring Twenties and continued strong in the United States through the 1930s. Just as it was then, this style is still seen as elegant, functional, and modern. To find such an exquisite, period example of this timeless style is quite outstanding.
