Created by the famed Swiss watchmaker firm Marius LeCoultre, this perpetual calendar chronograph pocket watch features a beautifully crafted 18K rose gold case decorated in a foliate and scroll motif. The white enamel dial tells the time with both Roman and Arabic numerals and delicate blued steel fleur-de-lis hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. The watch's impressive mechanisms also include a retrograde, or jump, date function, which indicates the day of the month and "jumps" back to one at the start of a new month. Additionally, this timepiece indicates the day, month and moon phase with a charming night sky display. Inside, 34 ruby jewels ensure that the movement is in exceptional working order.

Marius LeCoultre, a watchmaker and retailer specializing in unusual and highly ornamented watches, founded his own company in Geneva in 1848. He was awarded an honorable mention during the Geneva Chronometer Contest in 1887 for his retrograde date system, and he exhibited at the famed 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition.
