Pink wisteria vines drape elegantly across the surface of this vase by renowned Limoges enameler, Camille Fauré. Fauré's works shine with a unique luminosity achieved through his signature enameling technique. Beginning with a copper vase form covered in silver leaf, layer upon layer of colored enamel is then applied in varying thickness. This allows the copper and silver leaf base to brilliantly shine through the more translucent sections. Today, Fauré's works can be found in museum collections around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
