This charming pair of Rococo-style doré bronze French chenets features charming cherubs seated out their ornate plateau. Canine feet hold the chenets aloft, while two dog figures adorn the ends. Chenets, also known as andirons, were once staple of any well-appointed hearth, serving as both decorative and functional objects. They were placed in front of a fireplace to protect rugs and flooring from rolling logs.
