This stylish walking stick formed of handsome snakewood is actually a traveling bar. The knob unscrews to reveal a long glass tube flask hidden within the hollowed-out shaft. Called a flask or "tippling" cane, these walking sticks were once carried by doctors during the epidemics that swept across late 19th-century Europe, as it seems that a strong drink was an able defense against cholera. Later, they became extremely popular during Prohibition with those who desired a stealthy drink. Perfect for the stylish bon vivant, canes such as this are in great demand among collectors.
