A truly exceptional specimen of holloware by the incomparable Tiffany & Co., this sterling silver chafing dish is fashioned in the time-honored Chrysanthemum pattern. The richly chased and applied blossoms of the ancient herbaceous plant envelopes the dish and the footed stand, traveling the length of the graceful curves of the supports. The base is fitted with a heating element to keep foods piping hot, and a beautiful bone handle adds safety and stability when handling a hot dish.

This dish is engraved with full Tiffany & Co. silver marks and bears the initial "C" for Charles T. Cook, dating this piece between 1902-1907.
