Tiffany & Co. displays its design prowess with this exquisite silver soup tureen. The firm's reinterpretation of the Neoclassical style, which was pioneered by such silversmithing legends as Paul Storr and Hester Bateman, is flawless. The footed kylix-type form features graceful applied, chased and repousée motifs including beaded edging, acanthus and gadrooned elements, all punctuated by loop handles and an intricate pinecone finial atop the lid. Tiffany & Co. has been a master of luxurious American silver for over 170 years, a fact to which this sophisticated tureen attests.

Signed "Tiffany & Co." with the date letter "m" for John C. Moore, which dates this tureen between 1907 and 1947.
