This spectacular Wedgwood crimson jasper lidded pitcher is a rare gem. Exemplary of the firm's creative artistry, the pitcher is adorned by Wedgwood's trademark Greco-Roman figures bordered by floral festoons in white bas-relief. Wedgwood only created crimson jasper pieces such as this for a short period of time, as their vivid red hue was difficult to control and prone to bleed. Due to their brief production, they are highly collectible rarities on the market.
