This elegant antique bar pin is adorned by six rare Montana sapphires. Found only in the Yogo Gulch in Montana, these sapphires display a vivid cornflower blue hue that is unlike sapphires from anywhere else in the world. Upon their discovery in the 1880s, famed Tiffany & Co. gemologist George Kunz described these sapphires as “the finest precious gemstones ever found in America.” The rare gems are joined here by approximately 0.48 carats of diamonds in a platinum setting.
