Without a doubt, the past year has been challenging, but we are thrilled to report that we finished strong in 2020 and are optimistic about the year ahead. With fairs and shows cancelled around the country, and large gatherings at the gallery on hold, we are meeting the moment by implementing new ways to reach you online, through our catalogs and with in-person visits.
One of the great benefits of our new “normal” is that it gives us more time to acquire amazing objects! We've been able to get our hands on some truly special pieces, many of which you’ll see in our latest Best of the Best catalog that is now viewable online.
Among these treasures is a stunning Fancy Intense Green Diamond, an important work by Vincent van Gogh (call 877-352-4719 for information) and an incredible porcelain tea service commissioned by King Louis-Philippe. We’ve also acquired several wonderful jewelry pieces once owned by Elvis and Prince and a superb collection of walking sticks. Visit our website to see more of these irresistible finds.
We are putting the final touches on our next online exhibition, The Art of Sound, featuring musical objects representing centuries of curiosity, innovation and technical mastery. This interactive exhibition will bring to life our delightful bird boxes, rare music boxes and monumental music hall orchestrions. Following shortly after, we will be hosting our first in-gallery exhibition of the year. The Pissarro Dynasty: Four Generations of Artistic Pursuit will open in mid-March featuring important works from this fascinating family of artists. Look for more information in the coming weeks.
Finally, while circumstances prevent us from visiting with many of you at shows and fairs, we would love the opportunity to visit you individually to present particular items of interest at your convenience. It's a great way for you to view our treasures in person, meet our team and potentially add something great to your collection. Check with your sales consultant if a personalized visit interests you.
We remain hopeful for the future and we extend our best wishes to you and your family. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance. We look forward to speaking with you soon.
