The set includes a stand with a raised wire-work serving rack and two sauceboats, both sat in frames with loop handles. The useful tray has two handles and is rained on four feet with intricate acanthus leaf motifs. The lustrous finish and balanced proportions enhance its visual appeal, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail for which Walker & Hall was celebrated.

Founded in Sheffield in the mid-19th century, Walker & Hall was among the foremost producers of silver and cutlery in England.
