A goddess strikes a contemplative pose in this stunning bronze figure, cast from a model by Émile Bruchon. Seated on a pedestal with a shield and sword to one side, this lovely figure exemplifies the attention to detail and wonderful expressivity of 19th-century bronze sculpture. Set upon a plinth of verde antico marble and ebonized wood, the figure would make a perfect addition to any collection.

Born in Paris, Émile Bruchon, (active 1880-1910) was student of Mathurin Moreau and exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1880.
