This expertly crafted George V Presentation inkstand was presented to Lionel de Rothschild to commemorate the centenary of the Alliance Assurance Company. The work was forged by renowned London silversmith Charles Comyns. The rectangular form features drop ring handles and the interior includes two silver-mounted glass inkwells. The graceful linear design of this inkstand reflects the refined aesthetic of Charles Comyns. The inkstand features an inscription stating, "Presented to Lionel de Rothschild Director of the Alliance Assurance Company on the occasion of its centenary 1824-1924." Dated 1923.
