This incredible Coburg pattern flatware service was crafted by revered London silversmith Paul Storr. Consisting of a remarkable 205 pieces, the service is housed in its original fitted chest. The Coburg pattern was a favorite of Storr's due to its distinct balance of rich yet refined ornamentation. He imparted his characteristic quality craftsmanship, evident in the depth and superiority of the decoration, and Storr utilized only the highest gauge silver in the creation of this service.

Paul Storr is credited with perfecting the styles of Regency silver. From his neoclassical masterpieces to his exuberant and ornate vessels, Paul Storr is considered one of history's finest smiths. This particular flatware service stands among some of his most regarded creations, displaying a level of craftsmanship and quality that has seldom been matched by any other silversmith. Retained by Royal Jewelers and Silversmiths Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, Storr was regularly commissioned to create pieces for royalty and world figures.
