This rare bracelet watch by Cartier, crafted circa 1930, reflects the Art Deco era’s fascination with geometry, elegance and innovation in design. In the early 20th century, Cartier was at the forefront of a movement to disguise timepieces as jewelry, miniaturizing mechanisms and incorporating them into refined, wearable forms.

The rectangular platinum case is set with 50 rose cut, 56 single cut and two round brilliant diamonds, together totaling approximately 0.57 carat. A cream dial with black enamel provides bold contrast, framed by a pavé set surface that catches light from every angle. The manual-wind movement is tucked discreetly within.

The 18K yellow gold bracelet is rendered in a woven design, echoing the mechanical precision and symmetry that defined the Art Moderne style. French hallmarks, including the eagle and wolf head stamps, confirm the watch’s Parisian origin and gold content. It is also presented with a rare original box from Ralph Dewey, a respected 20th-century importer known for introducing European luxury to American collectors.
