This magnificent sterling silver trophy was crafted by the imitable Tiffany & Co.  The Adam's style urn is brilliantly crafted in the classical vein with simple reeded trim and elegant acanthus flourishes at the base of the handles being the only decoration. Masterfully crafted, this trophy is a brilliant example of American silver.

Tiffany & Co. has crafted some of the most legendary trophies in history beginning in 1860, the year they crafted their first horse racing trophy. Since then, the firm has designed and produced trophies for tennis, sailing, horse racing, baseball, football, basketball, and many more, including the US Open Tennis Championship trophy, the NFL's Vince Lombardi trophy, and the MLB's World Series trophy. The present example represents the Tiffany tradition of celebrating excellence through magnificent silver presentation pieces.

Marked "Tiffany & Co." and "sterling silver" with the date letter "m" for the directorship of John C. Moore. This dates this piece between 1907 and 1947.
