A New Chapter in Our History
For the first time in our 113-year history, M.S. Rau is expanding, opening a seasonal gallery in historic downtown Aspen, Colorado. This exciting new venture will welcome visitors to our pop-up gallery at 228 South Mill Street from June 6th, 2024, through the end of September.

In celebration of this landmark occasion, guests are invited to sip complimentary rosé while exploring iconic works by artistic visionaries like Renoir, Picasso and Magritte, alongside exquisite jewelry and objets d’art from Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Fabergé, Cartier and more. The gallery will occupy the entire street-level floor of a historic building, nestled among premier luxury retailers in the heart of downtown Aspen.
Like our renowned New Orleans gallery, M.S. Rau Aspen will showcase a variety of museum-quality offerings, including fine art, antiques, jewelry, and objet d’art. This expansion allows us to bring the unparalleled M.S. Rau experience to a new audience in a vibrant and culturally rich environment. This expansion is a long time coming, especially for Aspen resident Andrew Fields, President of M.S. Rau. While New Orleans offers a historic and eclectic atmosphere steeped in tradition, Aspen provides a dynamic and upscale scene that has attracted well-discerning collectors for generations. This new gallery allows us to bridge these two distinctive locales, bringing the best of M.S. Rau’s offerings to a fresh and discerning clientele in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
These are just some of the many offerings at M.S. Rau in Aspen.

To Fields, the decision to open a seasonal gallery was simple. “We have a 15-year history of exhibiting here,” said Fields. “This pop-up marks a significant chapter for M.S. Rau and exemplifies our ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional art experience in captivating environments. We have long admired Aspen's thriving art scene and its vibrant summer season. This location aligns perfectly with our clientele, offering an opportunity to showcase our world-class collection to a new audience.”
M.S. Rau Aspen will also host special on-site events and exhibitions that connect with the city's renowned cultural events, including the Food & Wine Festival, Aspen Ideas Festival and Aspen Art Week.
