Pink Brilliance: The Majestic Pink Diamond Ring

LUXPRESSO, August 6, 2012-- Nothing outshines a diamond, especially a diamond of 12.27 carats. And if that isn't enough, the colour and quality of this stone renders it an absolute rarity. It's hardly surprising that this pink diamond is currently taking centre-stage in the diamond market.
Set in an antique Cartier platinum and 18 carat rose gold mounting that even features Cartier's sign, the Majestic Pink Diamond is GIA-certified as Type IIa. A Type IIa certification implies this diamond has a completely natural and pure hue, and has little or no impurities. Only one to two per cent of all natural diamonds receive this certification. Another feature that makes this diamond truly extraordinary is the VVS1 designation. When a diamond holds a VVS1 designation, one can infer that the clarity of this stone is indeed very high. Moreover, this clarity is highly unusual for a coloured diamond of this size.
Available exclusively with MS Rau Antiques, New Orleans, this brilliant cushion-cut diamond will be on display from August 23 to 26, 2012, at the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show.
