Nineteen pieces comprise this impressive suite, which remains in exceptional condition considering its age. The central dining table offers the ultimate in versatility. Its two leaves and three pedestals can be adjusted to allow for a range of sizes, from a table for twelve to a table for two. Two armchairs and ten side chairs are also included, and each is upholstered in rich, cream-colored brocade.
For serving, the suite is accompanied by an expansive sideboard with ample storage space and drawers for all manner of dining accessories. It also features a breakfront with swan’s neck cresting a server with a pedestal base, an extremely rare octagonal wine cooler, lined with lead and with space for five bottles, a silver canteen with fitted drawers and a children’s table. The suite is an extraordinary feat of design and craftsmanship, and is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of American furniture on the market.
