This engraved glass two-handled coin cup celebrates the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary on May 6, 1935. The Silver Jubilee marked the 25th anniversary of King George V's accession to the throne, and this limited edition commemorative cup by Thomas Goode & Co. is a beautiful and historic tribute. The shallow bowl is engraved with a crowned cypher, national flowers, a crucifix and inscription, while the hollow coin stem is engraved with roses on an inscribed square base. This was the very first Silver Jubilee ever recognized by a British monarch until that point in history, and it was marked by several celebratory events and Jubilee souvenirs such as this one.
