The plaque is presented in an elaborate openwork Rococo Revival frame with scrolling acanthus leaves. Established in Berlin in 1763 under Frederick II of Prussia, KPM became renowned for porcelain plaques that translated the refinement of easel painting into an intimate decorative format.
