Rebecca Rau’s design enhances this ancient artifact with modern refinement, setting it in 18K yellow gold without altering its original form. The vivid green patina remains intact, a rare testament to its age and authenticity. A 1.01-carat pink spinel, 0.87-carat rubellite tourmaline and 0.22 carat of pink sapphires lend balance while a baroque South Sea pearl gracefully suspends below. Completing the treasure, a 14K Victorian “book”-style lariat chain dating to circa 1880 provides balance and continuity, merging millennia of craftsmanship into a single, timeless statement.
