This stately Victorian fountain pan is attributed to J.W. Fiske Iron Works of New York, and is a wonderful example of the Aesthetic Movement. The solid cast iron piece features naturalistic motifs of frogs and turtles framed by a detailed lily pad border. J. W. Fiske was the most prominent American manufacturer of decorative cast iron and cast zinc in the second half of the nineteenth century. To find one of his exceptional pieces today is extremely rare.
