From meteorites to Monets
Works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagal, Norman Rockwell and Edward Hopper align the walls at Ms. Rau Gallery at 307 S. Galena St. in Aspen.

These are some of the items on display at the gallery M.S. Rau, which in March opened its first location outside of its flagship space in New Orleans in the Aspen Block Building at 307 S. Galena St.
"Our goal was to bring the New Orleans culture of openness and friendliness to Aspen and we could not have picked a better town to do it in," said M.S. Rau president Andrew Fields.
When walking into the newly renovated showroom, visitors will find the walls adorned with works from the likes of Edward Hopper, Diego Rivera and Claude Monet.
In addition to fine art, M.S. Rau showcases antiques and high-end jewelry. Most galleries specialize in only one category.
"We're unique as a brand because we're three pillars: a fine art, jewelry, and antique gallery. Most do only one. We cover a lot of territory," Fields said.
