| Bob Dylan's Guitar. M.S. Rau |
You could soon strum away like two of music’s greats.
M.S. Rau has exclusively shared with Robb Report that it is selling guitars owned by Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley for $900,000 and $650,000, respectively.
Dylan’s custom Fender Stratocaster reflects both his extraordinary creativity and the pioneering spirit of the American guitar maker. Crafted in 1993 by master builder J. Black of the Fender Custom Shop, the guitar showcases a sleek aluminum body engraved with a flowing Art Nouveau-style design. It is one of only four such experimental guitars Fender produced for the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show in 1993, making it incredibly rare.

At the other, more traditional end of the spectrum is Elvis Presley’s classical guitar. Dating back to the 1950s, the instrument is the complete opposite of Dylan’s, with a warm, polished wood body and contrasting black trim. The King was photographed playing what is almost certainly this guitar in 1958 while stationed in Germany, according to M.S. Rau.
