The lid is adorned with Imperial Russian motifs, including the crowned double-headed eagle and imperial crown, alongside its simulated tax band, “Tsarskie” label, the 25 kopeks excise mark and 5 kopeks tax, all rendered as decorative elements that enhance the illusion of an actual cigar box.
Founded in Moscow, Feodor Ovchinnikov’s workshop was among the distinguished silver makers active during Russia’s Imperial period.
