The trolley displays a beautiful rollback domed cover that glides open to reveal its fitted interior, complete with a cutting tray, two covered sauce containers and a hot water trough to ensure meats are served at the ideal temperature. A double burner positioned below provides warming heat. The entire mechanism is mounted upon an elegant mahogany base. The result is a functional masterpiece that would have been the centerpiece of any grand dining occasion.
Elkington & Co., founded in Birmingham in the mid-1830s, earned international renown as pioneers of electroplating. Their patented electroplating process transformed the silver industry by enabling the creation of elegantly plated wares at unprecedented scale and quality.
