The MECC in Maastricht is preparing to once again celebrate 7,000 years of art history with a new edition of its fair of wonders: TEFAF Maastricht. From March 14 to 19, 2026 (with previews on the 12th and 13th) and featuring 276 galleries and art dealers from 24 countries and every continent, the prestigious event organized by The European Fine Art Foundation will once again transform the Dutch city on the Meuse into the premier destination for private collectors, museums, art market professionals, and enthusiasts of ancient, modern, and contemporary art, fine jewelry, decorative arts and design, rare books, and all rare and precious collectibles. It's the place where the art market meets and intersects with research and knowledge of artistic objects.
Jeanne Fourmanoi, Berthe Morisot 's favourite model, is portrayed in a bright garden in her late painting Jeune fille au chien [Girl with a Dog], presented by the MS Rau gallery, in 1892, the year marked by her first monographic retrospective, but also by the death of her husband and supporter Eugène Manet.
