The Strawberry Arnaud Dessert incorporating the Royal Blue Diamond
Arnaud’s Restaurant in New Orleans’ French Quarter offers strawberries marinated in a port wine sauce atop French vanilla ice cream that comes with some lagniappe — or “a little something extra” as they say in New Orleans. In this case, the lagniappe is a 10.06 carat royal blue diamond ring from M.S. Rau Antiques that comes in at $9.85 million dollars. The Royal Blue Diamond, a natural fancy blue diamond weighing 10.06 carats. Due to it's rarity, blue diamonds cost 10 to 50 times as much as a comparable colorless diamond.
