A. Lange & Söhne reimagined the distinctive asymmetry of its celebrated Lange 1 for the Daymatic, the family's first self-winding model. The silver dial mirrors the classic Lange 1 arrangement, placing the hours and minutes to the right, the small seconds below left and the outsize date at upper left. A retrograde day-of-week display arcs along the left side of the dial, taking the place traditionally occupied by the Lange 1's power-reserve indicator. Rose gold hands, applied Roman numerals and hour markers complement the warm tone of the case.
The self-winding Caliber L021.1 is visible through the exhibition caseback, offering a view of Lange's finely finished movement. A brown alligator leather strap with an 18K rose gold prong buckle complements the case, and the watch is accompanied by its original box.
